Purdue’s mission is to “contribute to the welfare and advancement of human societies throughout the world.” Purdue World brings the entire Purdue family together to create sustainable solutions to big problems such as food security, infectious disease and clean water. We believe that problems are best addressed by helping local communities create entrepreneurial, sustainable, market-based solutions. Purdue World has three major 5 year initiatives:

Goals

  1. Train 500 Next Generation Global Entrepreneurs

    Purdue is training the next-generation of global entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs at Purdue and around the world receive training at the Burton Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship to help them create and grow sustainable businesses.

  2. Create 100 Sustainable Social Enterprises

    Purdue’s investment in supporting entrepreneurship is internationally recognized. Program such as Firestarter, I-Corps Customer Discovery, and the Burton Morgan Certificate in Entrepreneurship provide resources and assistance for students, faculty, alumni and partners to pursue their dreams and ideas.

  3. Engage in 1,000 Technical Assistance and Outreach Projects

    Purdue faculty and student programs such as EPICS, Farmer-to-Farmer, and Global Engineering are working with local partners around the globe to provide solutions to challenging problems.
