Apricot Research

Partnering with University of California, Davis and USAID, Purdue is researching ways to improve post havest practices for dried apricots in Tajikistan. In a region where population lives on $1.25 per day, the need to produce profitable crops is important. The Purdue team is tackling a variety of challenges including testing more effective drying methods, teaching workshops to local farmers, and exploring new commercial opportunities.
